Today feels like Christmas Eve

Today feels like Christmas Eve to me... Tomorrow morning we leave for the QuickQuotes Private Reserve in York  PA. I have been looking forward to this for months. It is one full weekend (fri sat sun) of projects... crops... fun... contests...  I definately have the feeling that I had as a child waiting for Santa Clause to come. I will post pictures and a breakdown of the weekend when we return....until then...enjoy!

I made this book for a gift for a baby shower that  my friend is going to and ordered from me. I made this book out of manila folders but in Staples I found file folders in pastel colors. I had a ball with this project.

Baby Boy Book

Hi Everyone, a friend of mine asked me to make her a gift for a baby shower that she is attending next weekend and she wanted something different. I've decided to make her a book out of manila file folders. I was surprised when I went to Staples to find that they had a whole box of file folders that come in colors... I chose the box that had pink, blue, yellow and green pastels. I am working on it now and I will post pictures of the step by step process. I am enjoying my Labor Day by doing something I love.... Crafting!!!

So exciting CKC Scrapbooking Convention

Ok so in July we attended the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook expo in Valley Forge PA, we shopped and shopped until our hearts were content...and we came to this Awesome Booth called QuickQuotes.  After chatting with the ladies there for a long while, we decided that we just had to go to their private reserve scrapbooking weekend in York PA, trying to figure out how I was going to get my husband to agree to it was still the challenge that faced us. Ok ladies help me out here.. how many of you get Christmas gifts from your husbands that you absolutely ummm ok hate is a strong word... lets go for dislike? I said this could be my Christmas present and guess what? He was happier than I was I think. Now he doesn't have to go crazy looking for a gift that I will absolutely ummmm (dislike) and I will be able to go to the private reserve.... so now I feel like a child waiting for Santa Clause to arrive because the workshop weekend is still 3 weeks away. I will post pictures when we get back if I can figure out how to upload them to this blog again lol. I just wanted to share my excitement! I will also try to post some pics from the scrapbook expo that we attended.We walked so much that Lindsays shoe broke. We had to leave the expo and go to Walmart to get a new pair of flip flops to finish out the rest of the day... it was an adventure!!!

It's Been a While

Hi Everyone I know it has been a while since I was last here. My daughter Lindsay and I are designing scrapbooks and other crafty things with your photos. We will design scrapbooks for you with your photos. Just let us know the theme you would like and leave the rest to us. So many of us love to scrapbook but do  not have the time due to raising small children or heavy work loads... but the time you spend raising small children (and big ones too) is the time you should be taking lots of photos so that you can preserve the memories. This is where it happens.

My teenage daughter Lindsay is an avid scrapbooker... We had a room in our house that was not being used so when I would watch her my creative juices started to flow. Well nobody told me that when creative juices flow a lot of trips to the craft store are involved... before I knew it the room was being cleared out and painted and carpeting put in because of course the carpet that was in there didn't match the paint color. Storage cubes were put together and put in and 12 hours later we wound up with this room. Ever since... I have not been able to go a day without being in this room at one time or another. I love it because my daughter and I spend time together doing something we  love... Its hard to get a teenager to do anything with you. She will be off to college this summer and I will miss her dearly but I'm hoping she wont be able to be away from our little room for too long either... of course she is the "Scrap Queen" so that is her side of the room... and Me I'm the paper addict so that is my side of the room. Every time I go to the craft store I come home with at least two new stacks. I hope you will enjoy my blog.
